Past and Current Projects
DEFINITIVE FEASIBILITY STUDY
DEFINITIVE FEASIBILITY STUDY: POTASH
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Holt Consulting Engineers was appointed at the Mechanical and Piping Engineering Overseer for the Owner’s Team. The main contractor responsible for executing the feasibility study was Technip, France. Holt Consulting Engineers's representative was stationed in Paris, France for certain periods to perform reviews. The study was divided into three areas: (1) The mine site and infrastructure, (2) the process plant and (3) 34km overland conveyor
PLANT DESIGN
PLANT DESIGN: BIOX PLANT

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Holt Consulting Engineers are responsible for the piping and various tank design for this project. Project is still in progress
TITANIUM EXTRACTION PILOT PLANT
FEASIBILITY STUDY: Titanium Extraction Pilot Plant

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Holt Consulting Engineers was responsible for the complete feasibility study including all disciplines. The study was conducted to an accuracy of ± 20%.
PLANT DESIGN AND CAPEX COMPILATION FOR FIRE WATER SYSTEM UPGRADE
PLANT DESIGN AND CAPEX COMPILATION: Fire Water System Upgrade
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Holt Consulting Engineers was responsible for the specification, detail design and final CAPEX compilation for the complete fire water system replacement. Current system which is old, and underground is to be replace with an aboveground system that is easy to install and to maintain. Design complies to strict NFPA rules. Discipline that were involved: Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering.
SPECIFICATION AND DETAIL ENGINEERING DESIGN FOR THE SHAFT AND PLANT INTERFACE
PLANT DESIGN: Shaft / Plant Interface Project

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Holt Consulting Engineers was responsible for the specification and detail design for the Shaft and Plant Interface Project. The main plant was upgraded and the bottleneck in the process moved to the mine shaft and plant feed interface. Holt Consulting Engineers was responsible for the design of the 700-ton capacity surge bin complete with apron feeders. It also consists of various conveyor belts system with changeover stations. Holt Consulting Engineers was responsible for all the civil engineering, structural engineering and mechanical engineering designs.
DESIGN OF PROCESSING PLANT
FEASIBILITY STUDY: Processing Plant

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Holt Consulting Engineers was responsible for the specification, detail design, CAPEX compilation and OPEX compilation for a Kaolin Processing Plant. The challenge of the project is the process. Traditionally separation is done by means of a wet process, but due to the huge shortage of water sources in the mine area, a dry separation process is required. Discipline that were involved: Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering.
